Our Beliefs
God
Man
There is only one living and true God. He is all powerful, infinite, and eternal. God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.
Mankind carries special value as being created in the image of God. Man chose to rebel and sin against God, causing all mankind to be under the curse of sin and death.
The Bible
The Holy scriptures, the Bible, is God's revelation to man. It was authored and inspired by the Holy Spirit through men. It is complete, true, trustworthy, and inerrant in the original manuscript.
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. He convicts men of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He calls men to the Savior, and effects regeneration and understanding of truth.
Deity of Jesus
Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He is both fully God and fully man.
Death & Resurrection
Jesus Christ, living a sinless life, fulfilled the law. His death and blood shed through crucifixion provided the only provision for redemption of sinful man. He raised from the dead in flesh and bone, appeared to His disciples, and ascended into Heaven.

The Citylight Family of Churches is made up of autonomous churches that share the same DNA, vision, and values. Like a family, each church is governed independently and has its own unique personality that fits its neighborhood, but is connected strategically and relationally with the other Family churches. We have a vision to multiply disciples and churches across the Midwest and beyond.
There are over 400 major universities across North America. Through the Salt Network, we pray we will see a thriving church and college ministry established in all of these major university centers. The Salt Network is working to see churches planted, communities strengthened, and Gospel witness extended to the ends of the earth. In particular, we strategically partner to plant churches in global university centers.

deploy church planting teams from within, and we believe every Send
Network church is a Multiplying Church in the making.
